The Normans is a three storey holiday townhouse situated in the centre of Wells-next-the-Sea in Norfolk, just a two minute walk from the harbour and the sea. A high wall totally encloses the picturesque rear garden and patio area of this self catering luxury rental house. The house was originally built for the town's wheat merchant, who, it was rumoured, was also a smuggler. At the top of the holiday house there is a spy window, from which the merchant watched his boats come in and apparently the house had tunnels running beneath leading to various locations in the town. The spacious bedrooms have impressive views across the coast from Holkham to Stiffkey.
Wells-next-the-Sea is a popular Norfolk town set behind a small harbour on the beautiful North Norfolk Coast. The town has a maze of narrow streets, old alleys and yards, filled with shops, pubs and cafes and there are many listed and impressive Georgian and Victorian buildings.
