In the the heart of the pretty coastal village of Slapton on the South Devon coast Maple Cottage is full of traditional features, with low beams, wooden floors, inglenook fireplaces and a traditional farmhouse style kitchen as well as 3 comfortable bedrooms. A wander around the village, full of thatched cottages, well kept gardens and a Norman church will lead you past the two welcoming pubs and the community run village shop. A short walk soon brings you to Slapton beach and the Slapton Ley nature reserve, a haven for wildlife. The south west coastal path provides some amazing walks along the cliffs towards Start point lighthouse and a short drive in the car can take you to the historic port of Dartmouth or the market town of Kingsbridge at the head of the Salcombe estuary.
