Higher Rose Cottage is a charming south facing cottage, comfortably furnished and situated in a tranquil part of the ancient Loddiswell village which is within an area of outstanding natural beauty. It has an open fireplace which makes it a cosy winter retreat. The village has an excellent Pub, Post Office & general store and a 14th century Church all within easy walking distance. Loddiswell is surrounded by unspoilt rolling countryside with several interesting walks, one of the most notable being along the old Great Western Railways Primrose Line following the River Avon, closed in 1963. A license can be obtained for fishing from the Post Office. Nearby Kingsbridge offers a wide choice of shopping facilities with a good range of specialist shops and supermarkets on the outskirts of the town.The village is also within easy reach of the beautiful coastline, beaches and estuaries of the South Hams and Dartmoor National Park is only a 25 minute drive away. “We have had a lovely week once again - here last year.
