Sleeping up to 9 people, Little Downgateis a characterful, detached five bedroomed cottage with charming views down the valley to the estuary. Little Downgate sits at the top of the headland, so enjoys great views with good access to the beaches of East Portlemouth and Millbay via the public footpath steps or a more gentle descent via the winding coastal road. Little Downgate is a much-loved family holiday home. With the bustling holiday town of Salcombe just a 2 minute foot ferry ride across the estuary from the beach, Little Downgate is sure to be popular with families and friends looking to explore this wonderful area. East Portlemouth sits opposite the popular town of Salcombe which is easily accessed from this stunning property via the passenger ferry 280 yards away. The village itself has a cafe, the fabulous Port Waterhouse, with pop up dining events and a bar open seasonally, along with being home to Salcombe pasddle boarding, the village also boasts some fabulous sandy beaches along with direct access to the South West Coast Path- very scenic coastal walk or a mile along the Devon lanes takes you to The Gara Rock Hotel, serving delicious food with some of the best scenery a restaurant could provide, plus a spa and cinema room. The nearby village of South Pool also boasts a gastro pub, the Millbrook Inn.
