Just a short walk from the beach this is an ideal base from which to explore Cornwall and nearby Devon. Downderry has a restaurant, pub, cafe and a local shop and nearby Seaton has another lovely beach with a beachside café/restaurant and pub. This is not only a great base for families and couples, it is ideal for your four legged friends, too! Downderry beach is dog friendly all year, so you can all head to the beach together. The popular Cornish fishing villages of Polperro and Looe are a short drive away or you can easily visit the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan or the historic naval city of Plymouth.
